I am studying.
My own summer sewn top
simple, wide and comfy, biassed crisp finishing.
for on jeans or footless tights or maxi skirt or slip or...
there was 'grid'(Alexander Henry cotton) : batsleeves, deep round neck, flip-over-waist-band
and there is 'la chartreuse' (crinkly wrinkly linen) : same sleeves, same neck, darts and insert waistband
now 'Trombi' (a Marimekko fabric) : same sleeves, rounded boat neck, long shirt (no waist shaping).
This Trombi is definitely too big (somehow the Marimekko cotton falls much wider) and needs a bit of a crop I think... But the journey is the destination. Making is great fun.
Oh and, this is simply breathtaking : Issey AW 2011, sigh, patternmaking a thousand beautiful steps further...

J'adore!!!!!
Please please share your design! These look so simple yet stunning, would love to know how you created them. Really great looking fabrics too, nice work!
These are lovely, I love chartreuse/ yellow combined with grey, we seem to have similar tastes in colour =)
I don't have blogger so if you don't have disqus I can't see your response. Sorry.
