Journals are personal. They contains our thoughts, our stories, our doodles and drawings, so isn't it fitting that they be made by human hands and not machines? I made these journal covers last week out of fabric scraps and felt cut outs. I am planning on doing more, possibly a few black line drawings on white felt, so keep an eye out.

What a great way to use scraps! The flowery one with the monster plant applique got me chuckling. :-) thanks for letting me know about resizing my image file. I'd figured it might be becos of they're huge. How do I resize them?
I love the retro floral one and you've inspired me to give journal-covering a go... especially if it means I'll write in my journal more often!
I love the journals - they're gorgeous. I would love to know how to make one.
Oh how I wish I was any good at keeping a journal! I've got abut a dozen journals, all with a small chunk of decent writing in the beginning and then small scrawls of 'notes' and then about three-quarters of the book is blank clean pages.
These are beautiful. I too love the monster plant applique! too cute!
